Kamakura Complete Guide uses generative AI in producing its articles. We publish the scope of that use, and the editorial structure around it, so readers know exactly what has been made with AI and what has not.<\/p>\n
We use generative AI in the following stages: drafting article text, producing our English, Chinese and Korean editions from the Japanese source, generating the short introductory videos for each site, and creating explanatory graphics. AI output is raw material and nothing more. A person decides the wording that appears on the page, and a person decides whether it is published.<\/p>\n
Every article is reviewed by our editor before publication. The editor is Hitoshi Uchida, representative director of Toshi’s Place Inc. Fact-checking, judgements about whether a description matches what is actually there, and the decision to publish are all made by a person. We never publish AI output as it stands.<\/p>\n
Opening hours, admission fees and access details change over time, and what we publish reflects what we confirmed at the time of writing. Please also check the venue’s own official information before you visit.<\/p>\n
The short introductory video for each site was made by animating a real photograph with generative AI. It is not footage shot with a video camera. We include these videos to give you a feel for the place. Every video on this site is made this way; we publish no live-action video.<\/p>\n
Every generated video is reviewed by a person before publication. We check that nothing appears which is not actually there at that location, such as buildings, statues, signage, people or animals, and that no dramatising effect makes the place look more striking than it is. Anything that fails those checks is not used.<\/p>\n
The source photograph shows real scenery, but the movement in the video, such as swaying trees, moving water and shifting light, is generated by AI and is not a record of anything that happened. Details may differ from the actual place. You cannot judge how crowded a site is, or what the season looks like there, from these videos. Please base your decisions about where to visit on the written information rather than on the video.<\/p>\n
These video files also carry embedded C2PA credentials, which allow software to verify that the content was generated with AI and to inspect the details of its creation.<\/p>\n
This site is published in Japanese, English, Chinese (simplified) and Korean. The Japanese edition is the original, and the other editions are published on the basis of AI translation. Where the editions differ, the Japanese text governs.<\/p>\n
We do not invent facts, synthesise images of real people, or write promotional exaggeration. This site carries no advertising, and we do not alter our assessments in exchange for payment from any venue or business.<\/p>\n
