Since we don’t offer traditional person-to-person service, we’ve created our own travel guide to help guests fully enjoy their stay—offering insights that typical accommodations might not provide.

Many of our guests come from overseas and may not be familiar with Japanese history or culture. Concepts such as the “Kamakura Shogunate” or “Minamoto no Yoritomo” are often entirely new to them. That’s why our guides are carefully written in simple, easy-to-understand language, even in the Japanese version—designed for those experiencing Kamakura for the first time.

This site aims to provide a clear overview of Kamakura before diving into detailed information. We’ve created a custom tourist area map with indexed spots labeled in alphabetical order, making trip planning easier for those unfamiliar with the geography. While the guide is primarily intended for our hotel guests, it’s freely available for anyone visiting Kamakura.

For those who wish to explore deeper, I also manage a separate media site called “The Complete Kamakura Hiking Guide,” which introduces seasonal trails and includes historical and cultural commentary.

The information provided here is based on firsthand visits and is regularly updated to reflect the latest conditions. By blending key tourist spots with local perspectives not found on official websites, we strive to share an authentic, real-world Kamakura.

Please note that this site focuses solely on sightseeing information—we don’t cover dining or shopping. However, guests staying with us can access a private Google Map link with my personal restaurant recommendations.

We operate this project with the hope of making your Kamakura journey more free, fun, and memorable.

Toshi’s Place Inc.
CEO: Hitoshi Uchida (a.k.a.
